Premium Barber Shop in NYC Takes a Look at the Barber Shops Industry

Launched in 2017 on the Upper East Side is Artisan Barber, the barber shop in NYC owned by Charlie McCoy. In the United States, according to an IBISWorld report, there are 131,077 barber shops, making Artisan Barber one of them. The market size of barber shops is relatively massive, sitting at $5 billion, as told by the same report. Revenue in this industry has increased steadily since 2015 to 2020 at an annualized rate of 5.3%. Despite the Covid-19 breakout this year, 2020 has so far seen a 1.3% increase in revenue. McCoy proved the steady rise in the industry right in 2019, when he opened his second business, the unisex salon, Orchard & Ludlow on the Lower East Side. Both businesses took a hit this year due to the Coronavirus, but are managing to bounce back thanks to loyal clientele and McCoy’s business savvy. Artisan Barber, home to the best men’s haircuts in NYC has managed to maneuver the barber shop industry successfully since it opened its doors in 2017.
